Shell has released the LNG Outlook for 2017 and created an infographic detailing the key developments and trends in the LNG industry for this year. As well as introducing the future drivers of growth, the infographic highlights the main supply trends in 2016. Discussing the flexibility of the global LNG trade when responding to shortfalls in national and regional gas supply and to new emerging demand, Maarten Wetselaar, Integrated Gas and Energies Director at Shell stated, “The outlook for LNG demand is set to grow at twice the rate of gas demand, at 4 to 5% a year between 2015 and 2030.”
